About Morin Talukder
Morin Talukder is the Co-Founder and CEO of Pickaboo, a Bangladeshi e-commerce platform focused on consumer electronics and computers. He built the company while still in his twenties, having already tested and exited one online venture before it.
A Second Attempt, Not a First
Talukder studied at Anglia Ruskin University before starting his entrepreneurial career. In 2015, he founded ehatbazaar.com, an online shopping platform, and sold it roughly a year later to focus his full attention on Pickaboo.
That earlier venture gave him a working understanding of Bangladeshi e-commerce logistics and customer behavior before he tried to scale a second, larger business around it.
Building Pickaboo's Speed Advantage
Under Talukder's leadership, Pickaboo positioned itself around fast fulfillment, offering delivery turnarounds as short as three hours in a market where multi-day shipping windows were still common. The company also became one of the first e-commerce retailers in Bangladesh to introduce monthly installment payment plans for electronics purchases.
Those two features, speed and financing, became central to how Pickaboo differentiated itself from larger, more generalist online marketplaces competing for the same electronics buyers.
Adding Membership and Retention Tools
Talukder also built out customer membership programs at Pickaboo, aimed at keeping shoppers coming back for repeat electronics and computer purchases rather than treating each sale as a one-off transaction. That focus on retention, rather than pure customer acquisition, reflected lessons carried over from his earlier ehatbazaar.com venture.
Forbes Recognition
In 2021, Talukder was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in the Retail & E-commerce category, recognition that placed him among a small group of Bangladeshi founders to receive that distinction. The honor came several years into his work scaling Pickaboo, following the earlier exit that funded his second, larger venture.
Talukder continues to lead Pickaboo's strategy directly, staying close to product, marketing, and customer experience decisions as the platform competes in Bangladesh's increasingly crowded electronics e-commerce market.
