Abdullah Al Musabbir completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology in 2018, later adding an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration at Jahangirnagar University. Before co-founding Ostad, he worked across a mix of technical and commercial roles, including as a Sales and Service Engineer at Shakira Trading International and a Product Support Engineer at Bangla Trac Limited, the local distributor for BanglaCAT equipment.

That engineering foundation, paired with hands-on commercial experience, gave him a practical view of the skills gap many young Bangladeshi job seekers faced, one that academic credentials alone weren't closing, especially for graduates entering fields that moved faster than university curricula could keep up with.

Five Engineers, One Platform

Abdullah Al Musabbir co-founded Ostad in October 2020 alongside four fellow KUET graduates: Fahim Siddique, Mridul Khandaker, Shariful Mubin, and Shourov Barua. Rather than building another pre-recorded course library, the group designed Ostad around live-streamed classes, betting that real-time interaction with instructors would drive better skill retention than passive video content.
