Codexpert is a Dhaka-based WordPress product and services studio founded in 2017 by Nazmul Ahsan, a WordPress Core Contributor with more than sixteen years of hands-on experience on the platform. The company splits its time between building its own products, including EasyCommerce, CoDesigner, and Pluggable.io, and taking on client work ranging from small bug fixes to large custom plugins.

That dual model, staying close to real client problems while still investing in its own products, has shaped Codexpert's growth more than any single flagship release.

A Core Contributor Before a Founder

Nazmul Ahsan built his reputation inside WordPress years before starting a company, working as a Core Contributor on the kind of behind-the-scenes development that doesn't come with headlines but earns credibility inside the developer community. That experience gave him a working knowledge of WordPress's internals that most agency founders never develop.

When he founded Codexpert in 2017, that technical depth is what let the studio move confidently between building its own products and picking up complex client work other agencies would have turned down.

Choosing Both Products and Services

Most WordPress companies pick one lane, either building products or taking client work, and stay in it. Codexpert has deliberately stayed in both, using client projects to fund product development and using its own products to demonstrate the kind of technical work it can do for clients.

That approach is less common than it sounds, and it has let Codexpert build hundreds, if not thousands, of smaller plugins and customizations for clients over the years while still shipping its own product line on the side. It also shows up in Codexpert's presence at community events: Pluggable, the developer marketplace Codexpert launched, sponsored WordCamp Sylhet in 2023, the same year the company took its own team on a trip to the same city.

What Codexpert Builds

The company's flagship product, EasyCommerce, is an AI-assisted WordPress e-commerce plugin built to simplify product management, order processing, shipping, and tax handling for online stores. Codexpert also built CoDesigner, which connects Elementor to WooCommerce with more than 90 widgets and well over a hundred templates, and Pluggable.io, a marketplace built to connect WordPress plugin developers directly with customers.

Between the three, Codexpert has stayed close to a consistent theme: making WordPress e-commerce and site-building tools that other agencies and store owners can rely on without needing custom development for every feature.

Staying Small on Purpose

Codexpert has stayed relatively small, with a team of around 20 professionals rather than scaling headcount aggressively, and Glassdoor reviews from current employees, including one from Nazmul Ahsan himself, describe a close-knit, low-hierarchy environment. That size has let him keep the company close to both its client work and its own products, without the coordination overhead that comes with much larger WordPress agencies.

Team photos shared by employees point to a workplace built around small, regular rituals rather than large formal programs: Eid and Ramadan celebrations, a company trip to Sylhet, and branded merchandise handed out to the team. One Glassdoor review, posted by Nazmul Ahsan himself under his role as founder and CEO, describes the culture in three words: "the company of love," an unusually personal way for a founder to characterize his own workplace publicly.

A Quieter Kind of Growth

It's a quieter kind of growth than some of Bangladesh's larger WordPress exporters, built on a level of technical credibility that took Nazmul Ahsan more than a decade and a half to earn before he ever started the company. For a studio this size, staying small enough to stay hands-on has been as deliberate a choice as any product decision Codexpert has made.
