Nazmul Ahsan has spent more than sixteen years working inside WordPress, first as a developer and contributor, later as the founder of his own company.

He now runs Codexpert, Inc., a Dhaka-based WordPress product and services studio that built EasyCommerce, CoDesigner, and Pluggable.io, and leads a team of over 20 people out of Bangladesh.

A WordPress Veteran

Long before founding a company, Ahsan built a reputation as a WordPress Core Contributor, the kind of behind-the-scenes work that doesn't come with headlines but earns credibility inside the developer community.

That experience, spanning more than sixteen years of hands-on WordPress development, gave him a working knowledge of the platform's internals that most agency founders don't have, and it shows in the kind of products Codexpert eventually built.

Founding Codexpert

Ahsan founded Codexpert in 2017, positioning it as a studio that could move between two different kinds of work: building its own WordPress products, and taking on client projects ranging from small bug fixes to large, complex custom plugins.

That dual model is less common than it sounds. Most WordPress companies pick one lane and stay in it, but it's let Codexpert stay close to real client problems while still investing in products of its own.

What Codexpert Builds

The company's flagship product, EasyCommerce, is an AI-assisted WordPress e-commerce plugin built to simplify product management, order processing, shipping, and tax handling for online stores.

Codexpert also built CoDesigner, which connects Elementor to WooCommerce with more than 90 widgets, over a dozen modules, and well over a hundred templates, and Pluggable.io, a marketplace built to connect WordPress plugin developers directly with customers. Between the three, Codexpert has developed hundreds, if not thousands, of smaller plugins and customizations for clients over the years.

Core Contributor, Not Just a Business Owner

What separates Ahsan from many product founders is that he's still visibly active in the open-source side of WordPress, not just the commercial side.

His continued standing as a Core Contributor means his work shapes WordPress itself, not just products built on top of it, a distinction that matters to developers evaluating whether a plugin company actually understands the platform or is just building on top of it opportunistically.

Growing a Lean Team in Dhaka

Codexpert has stayed relatively small and deliberately so, with a team of around 20 professionals rather than scaling headcount aggressively. That size has let Ahsan keep the company close to both its client work and its own products, without the coordination overhead that comes with much larger WordPress agencies.

It's a quieter kind of growth than some of Bangladesh's larger WordPress exporters, but it's one built on a level of technical credibility that took over a decade and a half to earn. For a company his size, that trade-off, staying small enough to stay hands-on, has been as deliberate a choice as any product decision Codexpert has made.
