About Ridwan Hafiz
Ridwan Hafiz is the Founder and CEO of GoZayaan, a travel-tech company offering flights, hotels, bus tickets, and tour packages across Bangladesh and Pakistan. By the time he started GoZayaan, he had already built and exited one successful company, an unusual position for a Bangladeshi travel-tech founder.
An Engineer Who Built an Agency First
Hafiz earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, studying there from 2004 to 2009. Before graduating into a purely technical career, he had already co-founded Analyzen in August 2008, a venture that would become Bangladesh's first dedicated digital marketing agency.
He also spent time in corporate telecom roles, working in corporate sales at Qubee from 2010 to 2012 and earlier at Banglalion Communications, experience that ran alongside his early work building Analyzen.
Scaling Analyzen Without Outside Funding
Hafiz grew Analyzen from a small startup into a business generating $10 to 12 million in annual revenue, entirely without external funding. That bootstrapped growth gave him direct experience scaling a Bangladeshi company purely on operating cash flow, a discipline he carried into his next venture.
He eventually exited Analyzen to focus fully on a new idea: fixing how Bangladeshis booked travel.
Founding GoZayaan
Hafiz founded GoZayaan in 2017, building a platform that let users book flights, hotels, bus tickets, and tour packages through a single tech-enabled service. The company set out to replace the fragmented, largely offline travel agency model that had dominated Bangladesh's travel booking market up to that point.
GoZayaan has since expanded beyond Bangladesh into Pakistan, giving it a combined addressable market of more than 400 million people across both countries.
Building More Than a Booking Platform
Beyond flight and hotel bookings, Hafiz has pushed GoZayaan into adjacent services, including a migrant worker remittance platform aimed at Bangladeshi workers abroad. That expansion reflects a broader ambition to serve the full range of travel and cross-border financial needs of Bangladeshi and Pakistani customers, not just leisure bookings.
Hafiz continues to lead GoZayaan's growth across both markets, applying the bootstrapped scaling discipline he built at Analyzen to a much larger, venture-backed travel business.
