Loop Freight is a technology-enabled logistics company built around truckload freight in Bangladesh, letting shippers book and track shipments digitally while giving truck carriers a more predictable way to fill their loads. Rajib Das founded the company in 2018, drawing on a childhood spent inside his family's own freight-dependent business rather than an outsider's read of the logistics market.

His path into logistics started long before Loop Freight existed, shaped by watching his family's export business absorb the costs of an inefficient freight system firsthand.

A Childhood Inside the Freight Business

Rajib Das was born into a family involved in Bangladesh's logistics sector, giving him an early, practical understanding of how badly designed freight systems can hurt manufacturers. His family's business exported technical textiles to Fortune 500 clients including Nestle, Amul, and Prysmian Group, and the friction in that process stayed with him.

That early exposure to shipping delays, pricing discrepancies, and dispatch inefficiencies became the seed of what Loop Freight later set out to fix, rather than a problem he discovered only after founding the company.

An International Education in Supply Chain

Rajib Das completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Supply Chain Management, Economics, and Entrepreneurship at the University of British Columbia between 2009 and 2013, and later attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Before founding Loop Freight, he worked across several logistics and business roles in Canada.

He served as a National Business Consultant at Rogers Communications, worked as a Business Development Manager at Fibre Deals Ltd managing sales teams, and spent time as an Operations Associate at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, where he dealt directly with trucker strikes and client operations.

That stretch at a major North American port authority put Rajib Das face to face with freight disruptions on a much larger operational scale than his family's business back in Bangladesh, experience that later informed how he thought about designing a platform resilient to similar disruptions in a very different market.

Founding Loop Freight

In 2018, Rajib Das co-founded Loop Freight alongside Chris Lintz, Chris Li, Wasim Uz Zaman, and Fahim Salam. The platform lets shippers book, track, and pay for shipments digitally, while giving truck carriers a way to reduce deadhead costs by picking up loads closest to their location and getting paid faster.

That two-sided design, solving pain points for both shippers and carriers at once, set Loop Freight apart from logistics platforms that focused on only one side of the freight transaction, a distinction that shaped nearly every early product decision the team made.

National Recognition

In 2020, Loop Freight received the National Award for Industrial Innovation, a recognition of the platform's impact on modernizing how truckload freight moves through Bangladesh's supply chains. That award came just two years after the company's founding, reflecting how quickly the platform's model gained traction in a market long dominated by informal, phone-based freight booking.

The recognition also brought visibility that helped Loop Freight raise its subsequent funding round, adding institutional credibility to a young company still proving out its two-sided marketplace model, at a stage when many freight-tech startups in the region were still operating purely on the strength of founder relationships rather than formal recognition.

Where Loop Freight Stands Today

Loop Freight has raised $650,000 in funding from investors including ADB Ventures, Startup Bangladesh, Anchorless Bangladesh, and Accelerating Asia, capital that has supported the platform's growth across Bangladesh's truckload freight market. Rajib Das continues to lead the company, applying the supply chain lessons of his family's textile export business to a technology platform built for the country's broader logistics sector.

As a still-compact, early-stage team, Loop Freight's day-to-day work stays close to the founding mission: replacing informal, phone-based freight booking with a transparent digital marketplace that benefits shippers and carriers alike.
